Evidence of a genuine relationship
- Marriage or civil partnership certificate (legalised/apostilled if needed)
- Joint bank accounts, joint tenancy, joint bills
- Photos together across multiple years and locations
- Messages and call logs covering long periods
- Statements from family and friends who know you both
Financial requirements
Most countries require the sponsor to earn above a minimum threshold (e.g. UK £29,000, US poverty line ×125%). Cash savings can sometimes substitute.
